What is Philosophy Philosophy is the word made from the Latin roots Phil(=love) & Sophos(= wisdom), meaning its love of wisdom. Now a philosopher is obviously a lover of wisdom. To elaborate in a few words a philosopher is not satisfied with the normal or there is an embedded frustration somewhere in his mind to know something more than what is easy with the naked eyes. So he ambulates in his mind unceasingly to find the answer to his inner satisfaction. There is an incessant struggle with his consciousness and subconsciousness. There is an endless search for a more clear reality which he unconsciously always strives for it.
