Image
Discovering Answers to Life's Essential Inquiries Philosophy: Exploring the Fundamental Questions of Life Philosophy is a subject that seeks to answer fundamental questions about human existence and the world around us. It is a field of study that explores the nature of reality, knowledge, values, ethics, and the meaning of life. In this blog, we will delve into the fascinating world of philosophy, and explore some of its key concepts and ideas. What is Philosophy? Philosophy comes from the Greek word "philosophia," which means "love of wisdom." It is an academic discipline that is concerned with the study of fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, and reality. Philosophy seeks to provide a rational and critical understanding of the world around us and to help us make sense of our experiences. The Four Branches of Philosophy Philosophy is often divided into four main branches: Metaphysics - the study of the nature of reality and existence. Epi...

Ego

Image
Ego Ego is derived from the root whose meaning is "I". This Ego is not born with birth but developed with time. From birth, as time keeps running we inculcate a plethora of habits & features that are all mixing up of all such things, making an ego. Like I am of this community, I follow this religion, I wear these types of clothes, I eat only some particular type of food, I follow these customs, dogmas, rituals, and many other things like that. So if you will have a little thought over it then you will find that ego is nothing just the boundaries we have made for our own selves. These limitations and boundaries, we made for ourselves define our whole life, we live by them and die without ever thinking that what is these prison walls that we have drawn and why are we following such a smothered living. We are continuously suffocating ourselves with this concept of ego. But at the end of the day, we find out that it's the "me" part of the real "i...

Everything is Perfect

Image
Everything is Perfect In this material world, we are constantly facing a wave of happiness and misery all the time. It's similar to a wave which for having the crest u also needs to have the trough. So it goes altogether when there is one thing and there also have to be the opposite thing of the same. They are the only sustainer for both of them. This play is going on before each of us. One time we experience exuberance and after some time we are anxious for one reason or another. This is the natural law of anything in this material world. Everything is in rhythm and moves to and fro, but it's nothing to be sad about as we already discussed that it's our attitude only that makes an event and an event in itself has no value at all. Also,  as discussed in previous posts, there is only one substantial thing below all these rhythms. It's the common grounds for all the waves to n born, amplify, and then again lose their existence. Like in the case of heat and cold,...

Transient World

Image
Transient World All that we encounter throughout our lives are transient, impermanent. It's like a play going on in front of our eyes, the theme is played by the actors & every actor has its part to play. We all are in the play playing our part meticulously with all varieties of personas. But at the end of the day, it plays only, like in the original play the actors play his character and it's only called the best play in which actor gets completely lost in his character, but when the play ends the actor comes back to his original identity. This type of process is going on for eternity in from of us. Sooner or later everything has to change, nothing is permanent. As it is rightly said, "that which is born, has to die". So all is like an illusion only that comes and goes, it's like a mirage which is seen something substantial but when having a closer look it's nothing at all, it was just in our mind and senses and we made a good inquiry then it...

Mind and it's nature

Image
Mind and its nature Enough has been discussed so far regarding consciousness, sorrow & happiness of life but there still remains a very important topic that we are going to discuss in this blog, which is the mind itself. How the mind works, what are its natural tendencies, what it is made up of, why it creates sorrow and pain in our lives etc..and many other scenarios will be discussed here now. The 'mind' in our discussion today is that which is inside your skull and our subconscious mind. It's a very complex organ than any other in our body, it does so many complex things on its own throughout our life that we would never be able to perform. It's a treasure house if it's used properly but in most cases, it normally brings more sorrow than bliss. Seems like something has gone in the machinery, let's see what! The mind inside our skull helps us in daily routines and much of our analytical work. We use it constantly until we are awake and when we sl...

Socratic Ideas

Image
Socratic Ideas Socrates was a classical Greek philosopher & is also depicted as the father of western philosophy. In reality, he left none of his teachings in writing and whatever we have is just the writings of his students like Plato, etc. on his behalf. His quotes and teachings have survived since antiquity and below I share with you some of his quotes with a little commentary. His quotes are highly thought-provoking and worth remembering, So tie your seat belts please, here we go... Very true indeed. It says right wisdom comes when you know yourself. When you even don't know yourself properly then how can you know anything else, any inquiry of the object can only be made if the subject is truly aware and alert & when he is confused then how you may think of him to get the right knowledge of the outside. Mastery comes when you are more into your inside than the outside. Even if you take million more births and come again to investigate and understand the...

What Is A Human Being?

Image
What Is A Human Being? We as human beings have progressed widely in all the areas of society's needs. We are astronomically advanced than our first stage of evolution called primitive man. In today's world, we have all sorts of amenities and comforts. We have conquered the skies, earth, and also many other planets too. We are much proud of our progress in every type of material field. We have much celebrated the so-called comforts of life but now we are just being played by these comforts only like a puppet whose strings are in the hands of sensuous pleasures alone. The already rich man is still running after more wealth to gratify his senses,& a mediocre man doesn't get anything substantial and he curses his condition but still, he is blindly running after everything to make his life more pleasant, whereas a poor man is a complete surrender & cynical and is nothing except cursing him or his family, neighbor, etc..so all are in the rat race in one way or t...

Rumi's Teachings

Image
Rumi's Teachings We have discussed a lot in our earlier discussions so I feel to levitate you and give you a little push it's essential to share the writings and teachings of some mystics or philosophers. Like many other mystics, Rumi's philosophy strikes directly at your heart, so it will soothe you and bring you some more understanding and comfort. For those who don't know this great mystic, I will give a little introduction here and then share some of his quotes with little commentary. Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi was a 13th century Persian Muslim poet, theologian & mystic. His poems are widely celebrated up until present times and also his works are translated into many languages. Among his works now I will discuss below some of the excerpts as quotes from his works, so reverberate with them and feel them from the bottom of your heart. So let's begin this life-changing experience together! 1) "Don't avoid tough situations, they are wonderful ...

Frequency & Vibration

Image
Frequency & Vibrations You would have seen an old radio, people used to hear their favorite channels on the radio by setting a known frequency which they wanted to hear. Now this concept uses the mechanism of tuning the radio at the same frequency at which your channel is located. The same thing happens with human beings too, they are like a moving radio which vibrates at a certain frequency and it catches all the same types of channels that are located at that frequency like a radio. Not only humans but each and everything shares the same property. It's only the vibrations and frequencies all around us & we are also a constant emitter of a specific frequency which is the sum total of all the frequencies running inside you. You are constantly, without any fail as it's a natural law that no one can defy, emitting a frequency to the universe. Nikola Tesla, a great but not so made popular scientist has declared that " if you want to know the secrets of the un...

Mentalism

Image
Mentalism Someone has well said that " it's not you sing when you are happy, it's when you sing you become happy", this quote is alluding to the mental world all around us. It shows that's it's our mental attitude that's more important than the thing in itself, anything it might be. Look anywhere around you it's the mental thought only which is the primordial ancestor of all the things created or uncreated. Whatever you see around is filled with the energy of consciousness only. Also, you too are the sum total of the consciousness of your own self also called self-image. Like I already said in my previous discussions that these things are too subtle to be defined in words but with analogies, some vague pictures can be drawn for further touch-ups. Like say we find two people in exactly the same situation and while one seems happy in it but the other seems to quarrel and blame something or the other. So it's not the event or things tha...

Consciousness

Image
Consciousness Consciousness is the fundamental basis of all the philosophies of the world or it's the first step & also a final destination. Be it eastern or western philosophy it's the only concrete ground on which all the philosophies build their edifices. It's only the higher consciousness they are always striving for, always it's the goal of an earnest seeker to raise his Consciousness from a material plane to the spiritual plane where everything is just freedom and bliss and nothing else. A place where suffering can never build his home. We also can't deny that we are conscious beings. All of us have his consciousness of right or wrong, good or bad, etc., the whole of our life is dependent upon consciousness only, without which we are no one, but our consciousness is limited to only the material plane. We are rarely open to the higher dimensions. At the most, we can be more refined and conscious but not of any higher than the plane in which we exi...

Little More About Philosophy

Image
Little More About Philosophy   A lot of gibberish talks have been done so far and it's maybe seeming just a boring and toilsome agenda but let it be as I am sure someone or the other might be deciding correctly who has reached a certain frequency to tune into such topics and all others also don't be demoralized, just let it float on the conscious surface and when it's soaked well then it will sink automatically without any effort but don't condemn or criticize it, just let it be. Be open please, it's the mandatory requirement to get the correct wisdom into yourself. Don't judge anything just let it be as it is and sooner or later these words will ring a bell in your ears and that's only when their meaning will be made clear and transparent gradually with time. Experience only gives the right knowledge all else is just futile talks, there are already such things in volumes but it's of no use to just read it until it's made our own with experien...

Mind ,Senses & Reality

Image
Mind,Senses & Reality Have you ever noticed how happy a newborn child is? He seems always enjoying his surroundings and is free of any worries in the world, be it an economic crisis or a catastrophe. He remains calm and serene whatever the condition might be. The reason is that his mind is still not conditioned and he sees only what is without any judgments. He sees everything with the same view and plays no role in distinctions, all is the same joy and bliss for him. He is only true & natural "him" and that's why he is liked and loved so much for his innocence, but I feel he is much wiser than his elders. He has no worries and concerns to look after, he is just freedom itself and nothing else. His wisdom is in total nonuse of any conscious judgments, he just welcomes whatever comes in his way. Now in the process of his growth, he learns very many things from society and its rules and regulations. He starts passing judgments, that's what he is trained ...

Do different truths exists?

Image
Do different truths exist? I am here going to discuss a common error of hypocrisy that stunts growth philosophically. Some may think that their philosophers were great and that what they taught was the right thing and all others are just nonsense. Now this very idea in your mind kicks you out of the right understanding. I agree that there have been stupendous philosophers in every part of the world and their teachings also seem quite contrary, but mind it "it seems" only. A good analogy would be of huge mountain having philosophers & mystics on every side & each trying to reach the pinnacle of knowledge. Their path and the way of climbing the colossal mountain are different but as they keep reaching higher and higher their differences seem to come closer and closer, also when they reach the top then they are at a single place, and it's nothing different. So likewise as we climb the heights of knowledge, the differences keep on narrowing and bringing each o...
