Do different truths exist?
I am here going to discuss a common error of hypocrisy that stunts growth philosophically. Some may think that their philosophers were great and that what they taught was the right thing and all others are just nonsense. Now this very idea in your mind kicks you out of the right understanding. I agree that there have been stupendous philosophers in every part of the world and their teachings also seem quite contrary, but mind it "it seems" only.
A good analogy would be of huge mountain having philosophers & mystics on every side & each trying to reach the pinnacle of knowledge. Their path and the way of climbing the colossal mountain are different but as they keep reaching higher and higher their differences seem to come closer and closer, also when they reach the top then they are at a single place, and it's nothing different. So likewise as we climb the heights of knowledge, the differences keep on narrowing and bringing each other closer and we see similarities in all things. In fact, what they were striving to reach was also the same single truth. So the highest wisdom makes no prejudices. It's only the ones who have yet not started the wisdom journey or who are still in the middle ways see each other differently.
So the differences are only in us & not in the reality of truth. Truth is only one, you may call it by any name. So be philosophers of any eastern, Western, or anywhere in the world, they tried to convey the same thing with different styles and layouts according to the conditions prevalent in their region at their time.
In the current world scenario, there are much of fights between different religious institutions regarding their belief systems and supremacy, but they don't realize that they are just fighting for the words written in some scriptures whose essence remains the same in all of them. The true essence is subtle and needed wise discernment to get a glimpse of this subtleness in the multitude of written things.
So we need to destroy these types of ignorance with the sharp knife of wisdom. A true philosopher would see all things in one and one thing in all. He is like a honey bee that doesn't discriminate against the flowers, just sits on every flower and takes the good essence out of each flower. He is the person who learns from anything below the sky, for him, everything is good and teaches him something or the other which he doesn't reticules & fights for any changes. Having the right knowledge he is ever free, happy, with eternal peace, and full of bliss.
Such knowledge among the masses will surely result in a change of present conflicting conditions and will surely make it all heaven under the sky for himself and also for the others. When I see me in you and you see yourself in me then what remains there to fight, steal, greed, lust, etc, give it a thought! So differences are only in our minds and we need to work upon them gradually. So let's be together and move forward slowly to correctly grasp what these discussions are trying to convey.
