Mind and its nature
Enough has been discussed so far regarding consciousness, sorrow & happiness of life but there still remains a very important topic that we are going to discuss in this blog, which is the mind itself. How the mind works, what are its natural tendencies, what it is made up of, why it creates sorrow and pain in our lives etc..and many other scenarios will be discussed here now. The 'mind' in our discussion today is that which is inside your skull and our subconscious mind. It's a very complex organ than any other in our body, it does so many complex things on its own throughout our life that we would never be able to perform. It's a treasure house if it's used properly but in most cases, it normally brings more sorrow than bliss. Seems like something has gone in the machinery, let's see what!
The mind inside our skull helps us in daily routines and much of our analytical work. We use it constantly until we are awake and when we sleep it lies dormant. It does very useful tasks for us, like letting us know from experience that we should touch a hot pan otherwise we will get burned. So it's a much more useful tool if used wisely but if we let it loose then it's like the wind that can never be steady and will keep on flowing till it takes you to your death bed. Now the subconscious portion is that which is like a vast storage device that keeps a lot of data inside it that your brain, inside your skull, has lost it somehow in between some of its a million folders. The subconscious mind can work independently irrespective of conscious thinking. Like if you have noticed that sometimes we go on a walk and we reach our destination and come back to our starting point, but when we later check ourselves then we find that we didn't use our brain a bit but it was like by magic we walked and came back. Such things regularly occur with everybody & such feats are performed by our subconscious mind which has all the data saved inside it and while you were thinking about something else during your journey, it was the one who was guiding you. I hope it's a little clearer now.
Now there is an ancestor to two also or you can say that these two exist only because of that ancestor. It can be called a universal mind of which both our conscious and subconscious minds are its products. It can be proved by the analogy that when a person dies and he has no life left in the idea then it's all body parts and the brain stops working as if they are also dead with it. In actuality, they both have no existence of their own and it is just that universal mind which is there in reality. This universal mind only is the generator that powers the two brains during our lifetime and when it withdraws its grace then both of them are just dead with no life of their own.
The universal mind or you can even say it as "God" itself, is the only reality and is also the true source of everything. Being the foundation of everything it's always calm and serene, no one in the world can agitate it, it is supreme peace and freedom itself and we are also, in reality, this consciousness only but it's our initial two minds who are the real culprits which disturb this serenity and bliss with the desires and ignorance it has in itself. Our minds are mostly in an agitated state only, constantly running after sensuous and wordily pleasures out of ignorance & this creates much chaos on the ground of the universal mind. It's similar to like if we stir the water of the clean river then mud settled below gets all mixed up with water and we can no longer see the base of the river, similarly our thoughts, pursuits, pleasures, etc..make the vibrations so intense that we could hardly see our true nature. This is the only cause of our sufferings and anxieties.
The only remedy to get to our roots and be full of bliss is to keep your mind under your control and don't ever let it grab the driver's seat, be yourself the driver always. Use it as much as required but don't let yourself be used by it. It may seem difficult but if you will try then you will surely succeed. Try to be calm and serene irrespective of anything you are facing right now, remember if you will worry then any solution won't also come up and you will invite more worries. So remain calm and poised and let everything happen as it is. Never be worried, always smile no matter what then surely you will cross the bridge. So keep trying and never give up.
